Anyone looking for something besides Texas Hold'Em poker will be able to take a gander at the forthcoming digital blackjack site being developed in partnership with the Game Show Network.
The stakes at AOL's blackjack hub will be zero, to keep everything in line with government regulators. After the site launches in April, people participate in online games with other users, MediaPost reported. AOL plans on offering gambling tips and behind-the-scenes footage of the World Series of Blackjack show from GSN,.
Promotion for the hub begins January 19 and runs through February 8. In the promotion, eight people will snag trips to Las Vegas to play in a qualifying tournament, with the top two players earning spots among the 40 World Series of Blackjack players.
When GSN begins broadcasting episodes of the tournament in June, it will include advertising for the AOL blackjack hub online. AOL's marketing calls for promotions across its network on its games, television, and the AOL Vegas city sites.
Potential players should brush up on their skills, shuffle their favorite deck of cards, and watch AOL for more updates.
