MSN Hunting For AdCenter Marketers

It looks like one doesn't have to be a google-eyed scientist to work for MSN, where marketing jobs abound.

Marketing managers, MSN Search wants you. And so does MSN Advertising. MediaPost tipped us off to take a peek at the Career page on MSN's Advertising web site.

The listings here exclusively focus on marketers and managers, with a training specialist thrown in for good measure. MSN must have all the Dilberts it needs on staff; now it's looking for a few good Pointy Haired Bosses.

Seriously, the number of job openings seems to indicate Microsoft has its strategy in place, and just needs the people to carry out its plans. The company looks poised to start hammering various industries and evangelizing the MSN path to big advertising returns.

Most of the positions will be located in Microsoft's home base of Redmond, Washington. A few also list New York, ad capital of the world, as well. All of the positions seek experienced professionals; Microsoft wants to start strong out of the gate here.

Once those managers are in place, it will be interesting to see how Microsoft fills out the sales teams, whether by shifting existing staff or hiring new sales pros instead.
